The first step in preparation for becoming a Resource Parent (Foster/Adoptive) is to attend a DCFS sponsored Orientation. 

 

  • If you have not completed this step, please call DCFS at 1-888-811-1121 to register. 

  • Once you have attended an Orientation you will need to Live Scan for DCFS.

  • Contact DCFS at 213-351-0290 to arrange a visit to a local DCFS office during regular business hours.
